Pool Parties
Azure at the Palazzo
Champagne, frozen grapes, ice towels, poolside cabana massages and Evian water mistings. The Palazzo Las Vegas brings the opulence of the French Riviera to the Las Vegas Strip with the opening of AZURE. Embodying sophistication at its finest, AZURE is a fresh and exciting pool concept created for the guest who enjoys the finer things in life. Contemporary and stylish décor with lush greenery, plush daybeds, seasonal floral and tranquility will surround guests while they take pleasure in viewing elegant fashion shows, being pampered by “amenity butlers and butlerettes” and savoring the culinary offerings of celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
Bare
Before you reach the main attraction at Bare Pool Lounge, you will first encounter a tropical oasis at the Mirage pool area. It is a welcome refuge from your everyday casino experience, but a mere precursor to what's awaiting around the corner.
If you venture beyond the pool and through a winding walkway lined with more lush vegetation and exotic sculptures you will find an even more exquisite slice of paradise at Bare, an adult pool lounge where women are free to frolic topless (European-style), ultra chic chaise lounges await your arrival and the attentive bar staff is ready to take your order from their infinite selection of delectable drink options.
Daydream
You know when you're sitting at your desk and your mind wanders? Suddenly you're poolside, fresh fruit at your disposal, a cocktail in hand, basking in the sun without a care in the world?
Yeah, we all have that same daydream.
Lucky for everyone, the folks at M Resort went ahead and made it a reality with the appropriately-named Daydream Pool Club.
Flamingo Pool
Most people probably think of a flamingo's natural habitat as some lush, tropical oasis. Whether or not that's true, well, only Wikipedia knows for sure, but that image goes perfectly with the Flamingo's pool area, which is just that – a lush tropical oasis.
It's a sprawling paradise (and we don't use that word lightly) of pools, lounge chairs and three bars stocked with frozen margaritas (among other drinks, but let's focus here). There's a sand volleyball court, a waterfall, a trillion palms trees (that's a rough estimate) and music hand-picked by DJs spinning at different locations.
Palms Pool
In the annals of deception, everyone has their favorite personal entries. That time you convinced your mom you were at church when you were at the arcade. That time you convinced your mom Columbus Day was a no-school day. That time you convinced your mom...well, you fibbed to your mom a lot.
But was it ever really worth it? A few extra hours on the Pac-Man machine, a few extra hours sleeping in, what kind of payoff is that? Especially if you got busted.
Rehab
After a weekend in Sin City, the Hard Rock Hotel's pool is the place to go to recover. The pool is transformed every Sunday into Rehab, a hip, sexy beach club party.
Focusing on music, relaxation and rejuvenation, Rehab takes over the pool beginning at noon until the sun goes down.
Guests are treated to a variety of massages from Rock Spa, an open flame grill hosted by Pink Taco and an extensive array of exotic drink concoctions.
Daybeds surround the three-acre poolside haven, offering a place to unwind and listen to a mix of jungle beats, rock and hip-hop.
TAO Beach
Even with the high expectations that come along with the Tao name (and just ask anybody standing in line outside the club on a bustling Saturday night - expectations ARE high), the newest member of the family - Tao Beach - doesn't disappoint. Set in a secluded spot inside the already plush pool area at The Venetian, it brings a little class to the idea of a pool party.
In the center of Tao Beach, cushioned lounge chairs are lined up almost like desks in a classroom, but they're not facing a boring teacher and chalkboard, they're facing a pool and DJ booth that command attention better than any history lesson ever did. Not to mention that you're outside in the gorgeous Las Vegas weather. Working on your tan is a far cry from working on your homework.
Venus Pool Club
In a desert swarming with people, it’s not hard to find a manmade oasis or two – or forty – which means you’ve got a little room to be discerning about where you cool your toes.
There are hard rockin’ oases, water-slide-filled oases, oases for mom and oases you pray mom never finds out about.
But there’s also the classic oasis – a pleasant refuge from the norm and a place to unwind, with a little Vegas spin, of course.
VooDoo Beach
When a club or a pool or a pool club has something like the word "VooDoo" in its name, everyone rushes to make a bunch of puns about crowds being under the place's spell or some sort of witchcraft potentially drawing in audiences.
Sure, it's cute, but in the case of VooDoo Beach, it's totally unnecessary – this pool club stands entirely on its own charms. (Wait, was that one?)
With a smattering of pool clubs popping up at Sin City's most venerated hotels, the sun-loving, water-frolicking, mojito-sipping set has a totally unprecedented number of options, yet VooDoo Beach almost always brings in the leisure-hunters.
Wet Republic
Sin City has earned the benefit of the doubt.
Remember when things really started moving for Las Vegas and naysayers couldn’t fathom people flocking to a desert for anything resembling fun?
Remember when Las Vegas hotels started courting culinary superstars and New York and Los Angeles laughed?
